Community Support
Programs
The United Arc
of Franklin and Hampshire Counties
This program
provides support and assistance to adults who
live semi-independently in their own homes
or apartments, with or without housemates or
family members. Intensity and types
of support vary according to individual need. Key
program objectives are that each individual:
Finds and maintains a home.
Enjoys optimal health and has access
to comprehensive health care.
Has social opportunities and build an
array of personal relationships.
Has opportunities to engage in community
activities of choice.
Has opportunities to gain new skills
and pursue personal goals.
Has opportunities to be fully involved
with personal life decisions.
Support
services typically touch upon many aspects
of a person’s life including home management,
medical and health needs, food shopping, menu
planning and meal preparation, personal hygiene
and grooming, leisure and social desires, relationship
building, transportation, money management, vocational
pursuit, and coordination with other services.
Mission
