Welcome to United Arc

The United Arc provides an array of flexible services for individuals of all ages with developmental disabilities and their families. During fiscal year 2011, The United Arc provided services to more than 500 individuals and families from 47 communities in Franklin and Hampshire counties and in surrounding communities. We are pleased to be celebrating our 60th year serving citizens with disabilities in 2011 with many events throughout the year supporting this cause.

All Aboard the Arc!

International recording star Justin Hines and Boston College and Baltimore Colts great Dan Sullivan joined WBZ Radio NightSide Host Dan Rea for the second annual "All Aboard The Arc" fundraising and awareness rally yesterday, Sunday, April 29 at John Hancock Hall in Boston. Comcast Business Class was the statewide sponsor of the event.

 

The rally began at noon and ran until 2:30. Nearly 1,000 people attended which made it the largest event of its kind in New England. People joined a caravan of busses from across the state via nine send-off sites: Greenfield, Hyannis, Haverhill, Southbridge, Brockton, Fitchburg, Taunton, Westwood and Waltham.

Local sponsors for The United Arc included: Greenfield Savings Bank, Peoples United Bank, Rotary Club of Amherst, Cohn & Company Insurance, GAAAFSN Advisory Board, Baystate Franklin Health, Leftbank Consulting, MCS - Multicultural Community Services of the Pioneer Valley, Inc.

Lunch was donated by Subway of North Greenfield, 343 Federal St., Greenfield, MA 01301 (Locally owned and operated by Mary & Ira Mitchel.)

The Hidden Curriculum
